This song was changed greatly during the progress of the script.
It even got a new tune. In an early version "Get Ready!"
provided the link between John's preaching and the start of Jesus'
mission. In the final script it took its place as a choral fanfare
- a triumphant response to the resurrection of Jesus.
There is a lot to rejoice about in a play that features two
deaths and two resurrections!
